Job Summary:
The Pharmacy Technician supports the Pharmacist in providing Pharmaceutical Care at LifeBridge Health, a leading healthcare provider in Maryland. This role involves working under the lead supervision of a Pharmacist to provide services to Pharmacy customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and verify written prescription or refill requests to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Collect and process payments for prescriptions, over-the-counter medications, and non-pharmaceutical products.
- Maintain proper storage and security conditions for medications.
- Answer customer inquiries and provide assistance as needed.
Requirements:
- Formal working knowledge equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years of college).
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Registered and Certified with the Maryland Board of Pharmacy.
- PTCB certification or equivalent state program.
