Position Overview:

The Pharmacy Technician plays a crucial role in assisting the pharmacist to deliver safe and effective pharmaceutical services to patients, adhering to the guidelines set forth by US Tech Solutions, Inc., state regulations, and relevant authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the pharmacist in managing the dispensing process, including data entry, prescription preparation, and claims processing.
  • Accurately fill patient prescriptions by selecting the correct medications, verifying quantities, and preparing labels.
  • Collaborate with the pharmacist for order verification and clarification as necessary.
  • Ensure accurate data entry into the pharmacy management system to facilitate proper documentation.
  • Select appropriate supplies based on medication needs and patient preferences.
  • Communicate with patients, caregivers, and prescribers to obtain necessary information for prescription refills and clarifications.
  • Process pharmacy claims, troubleshoot rejections, and liaise with insurance providers when needed.
  • Assist in inventory management and procurement of pharmaceutical products.
  • Prepare client-specific materials for shipment and ensure accurate packing of orders.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the dispensing area and replenish supplies as required.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to both patients and internal stakeholders.
  • Perform additional pharmacy-related duties as assigned that do not require professional judgment from a pharmacist.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a pharmacy setting, with a solid understanding of pharmaceutical terminology and specialty pharmacy services.
  • Proficient in performing pharmaceutical calculations to ensure accurate medication dosing.
  • Familiarity with the organizational structure and service offerings of the company.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Ability to participate in the assessment and reporting of medication-related incidents.
  • Complete quality assurance documentation accurately and submit to the supervising pharmacist.
  • Adhere to all legal, regulatory, and safety standards in all job functions.
  • Willingness to participate in on-call duties if required.

Education:

High School Diploma or GED is required.
