Job Overview

SEEK Careers Staffing is looking for a talented CNC Machinist to enhance our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be tasked with operating and maintaining advanced computer numeric controlled (CNC) machinery to fabricate precision parts and components of the highest quality. The successful candidate will possess robust technical skills in programming, setting up, and running CNC machines, along with a meticulous attention to detail and a dedication to producing flawless products.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Set up and operate CNC machinery for various machining tasks, including milling, turning, drilling, and grinding.

2. Analyze and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ascertain machining requirements and workflow.

3. Create CNC programs utilizing computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software and implement adjustments to enhance efficiency and quality.

4. Load materials, tooling, fixtures, and programs into CNC machines, conducting test runs to verify functionality and precision.

5. Monitor and modify machine settings, speeds, feeds, and tooling dimensions to ensure compliance with specifications and achieve desired outcomes.

6. Inspect and measure finished products using precision measuring tools to confirm adherence to specifications and quality standards.

7. Troubleshoot and rectify issues related to machine performance, tool wear, or machining errors, making necessary adjustments or repairs.

8. Conduct routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged components, to maintain optimal performance.

9. Document machine settings, production data, and quality control metrics for accurate record-keeping and process enhancement.

10. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to provide insights on design improvements, process optimization, and cost-saving initiatives.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or in a similar capacity.

- Strong understanding of CNC programming and machining methodologies.

- Proficient in CAM software for program development.

- Solid grasp of engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

- Ability to interpret and troubleshoot CNC machine codes.

- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high accuracy levels.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
