Caregivers on our G70 Hematology and Oncology Unit focus on delivering the highest quality, safest care to adult patients receiving chemotherapy, targeted cancer therapies, and other treatments. This unit is known for its positive, team-oriented culture and daily huddles to ensure a collaborative approach to patient care.

A successful caregiver in this role will provide direct nursing care, implement and monitor patient care plans, and assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs. Our ideal candidate will have a graduate degree in professional nursing, current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA). External applicants should have two years of recent nursing experience, while licensed military RN experience will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to adult patients receiving chemotherapy, targeted cancer therapies, and other treatments.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs to ensure a smooth transition to home or other care settings.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders to ensure timely and effective treatment.

Requirements:

  • Graduate degree in professional nursing.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Two years of recent nursing experience (external applicants) or licensed military RN experience.
