Position Summary:

We are seeking energetic individuals who enjoy an active work environment. As an AFH Caregiver, you will engage directly with residents, teaching essential life skills such as independent living, community involvement, daily activities, social interaction, and behavior management. Your involvement will help residents enjoy their lives through community outings, collaborative cooking, and recreational activities.


Work Schedule:

This is a full-time evening position, working Monday through Thursday from 3 PM to 12 AM. Full-time employees benefit from a comprehensive benefits package, including health, vision, and dental coverage, generous paid time off, and a company-matched 401k plan.


Required Skills:

Ideal candidates will exhibit behavioral skills and judgment that model appropriate conduct for residents. Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not mandatory; we are willing to train the right individuals. A valid driver's license is required. While culinary expertise is not necessary, basic cooking skills will enhance meal times.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise residents within the group home.
  • Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dental hygiene.
  • Administer prescribed medications.
  • Transport residents to off-site activities.
  • Prepare meals and instruct on cooking techniques.
  • Employ crisis management strategies learned in training, including verbal de-escalation and creative redirection.

Educational Requirements:

Applicants must be at least 18 years old. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not essential.
