Job Title: Travel Radiology Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team as a travel professional in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will perform diagnostic imaging procedures on patients of all ages, assisting in the diagnosis of patient illness. This role requires strong communication skills, flexibility, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures on patients, including X-rays and other medical imaging tests
  • Locate and record internal elements of the body, identifying any anomalies indicative of disease or injury
  • Adjust equipment and calm patients to eliminate test artifacts
  • Monitor patients for physical and emotional changes
  • Evaluate test results for clarity and accuracy
  • Review tests with peers and physicians
  • Inform physicians of preliminary findings as requested
  • Distribute completed test results to physicians and service providers
  • Prepare diagnostic information for physician interpretation
  • Maintain patient charts, enter diagnosis and billing codes, and log data into patient information systems
  • Clean and sterilize equipment and workspace
  • Recognize equipment malfunctions and adjust or refer for repair
  • Instruct patients in pretest preparation, answer questions, and explain procedures
  • Comply with Siemens, hospital, and departmental policies and procedures
  • Maintain equipment according to Infection Control procedures
  • Maintain technical competency through continued education and participation in Siemens training programs
  • Administer contrast agents under the guidance and approval of site Radiologists
  • Maintain current Permits to Practice in all states where services are performed
  • Perform equipment quality checks and troubleshoot problems
  • Follow quality assurance guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality
Requirements
  • Valid ARRT license, registered in Radiography
  • Valid CPR certificate
  • State license in IA (considering candidates without this, if willing to obtain)
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Flexibility, reliability, and sound judgment
