About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Specialist Solutions Architect to join our team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). As a key member of our sales organization, you will be responsible for helping customers succeed by adopting and building the most efficient compute architectures on the cloud.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage directly with customers and partners to provide technical advocacy and ensure they are spending as little time and money as possible.
  • Create plans to define how you will help customers with their cloud needs, in conjunction with other members of customer and partner account teams.
  • Continuously build personal expertise across a wide range of AWS services and reference architectures, while providing thought leadership to customers and partners.
  • Share your technical knowledge broadly by participating in one-to-few and one-to-many sessions with larger groups of customers and partners.
  • Work with other teams at AWS to contribute to the creation of content that can be delivered to the broader community at scale.
  • Travel to client locations as needed, with an estimated 30% travel requirement.

Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructures.
  • 3+ years of specific technology domain areas experience (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
  • 2+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in the software or Internet industries.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries.
  • Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
  • Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective.
