About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Aquatics Attendant to join our team at The Salvation Army USA Central Territory's Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center.

As an Aquatics Attendant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all members and guests utilizing the slide and splash play area. You will be responsible for enforcing rules, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enforce Kroc Center rules to ensure a safe environment for all members, visitors, and employees.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of general and department safety rules.
  • Provide constant supervision and safety guidance to patrons using the slide and splash play area.
  • Measure children to ensure they meet height requirements and enforce related safety policies.
  • Assist with proper slide technique instruction and notification of weak swimmers to lifeguards.
  • Dispatch sliders when the catch pool is clear and assist with daily cleaning and maintenance tasks.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude.
Requirements:
  • Able to effectively communicate and interact with co-workers and the public in a positive, professional manner.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Exercise good judgment in personal actions and maintain confidentiality.
Working Conditions:

The primary duties of this job take place in a busy public Aquatics Center with high noise levels and temperatures above normal room temperature in a humid environment. You may also be exposed to chemicals and fumes commonly found in pool environments and bodily fluids.

Estimated Salary: $12.50-$15.00 per hour based on location and experience.
