Dishwasher Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Dishwasher to join our team at Emmy Squared/Pizza Loves Emily. As a key member of our back of house team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Equipment and Supplies Management: Ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available to wait staff at the right time.
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation: Wash and clean all cookware, utensils, and equipment according to Emmy Squared standards.
  • Dish Area Presentation: Maintain a clean and organized dish area, including setting up, cleaning, and sanitizing equipment.
  • Kitchen Floor Maintenance: Keep the kitchen floor clean and free of food residue and debris.
  • Waste Removal and Safety: Remove waste and maintain a safe lifting environment.
  • Health Department Compliance: Maintain kitchen sanitation in accordance with health department guidelines.
  • Facility Supplies and Equipment: Use facility supplies and equipment efficiently to minimize loss and waste.
  • Work Area Maintenance: Keep work areas neat and clean at all times.
Qualifications:
  • Previous Experience: Previous back of house restaurant experience preferred.
  • Time Management and Prioritization: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Stress Management: Ability to handle stressful situations while maintaining a calm and welcoming demeanor.
  • Quality and Productivity: Ability to produce high volumes of work while maintaining quality per Emmy Squared standards.
  • Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Chemical Safety and Physical Demands: Ability to work around chemicals and meet physical demands of the job, including lifting and pushing heavy objects.
