Position Overview:

As the Logistics Operations Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Location Manager in overseeing delivery and warehouse functions at the designated site. This position involves managing schedules, routing, unloading, staging, and inventory processes, as well as supporting SDS Builder Sites when necessary. At UST Select, we emphasize the principle of Execute Excellence Every time, known internally as E3, which is fundamental to our growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

(Responsibilities include, but are not limited to):

  • Consolidating freight orders into truckloads for specific destinations.
  • Updating all necessary systems and documentation with the previous day's warehouse activities.
  • Acting as the Manager on duty in the absence of the Location Manager.
  • Overseeing the accurate and efficient loading of vehicles for the delivery of retail and SDS home products to consumers.
  • Ensuring delivery vehicles and uniforms adhere to E3 standards.
  • Facilitating the warehouse team in achieving daily shipping and receiving targets.
  • Assisting with scheduling, dispatching, will calls, and routing as required.
  • Managing warehouse and inventory control processes to maintain inventory integrity.
  • Conducting pre-trip inspections, truck inspections, and tool audits.
  • Assisting with unloading appliances from inbound trailers.
  • Supporting the Location Manager with various tasks as needed, including:
    • Meeting delivery and quality benchmarks.
    • Monitoring weekly reports to ensure financial goals are met.
    • Ensuring compliance with DOT and OSHA regulations.
    • Coordinating with customer service to guarantee customer satisfaction.
    • Conducting evaluations and ride-alongs with drivers to assess skills and identify development opportunities.
    • Administering driver road tests.

Qualifications:

Candidates should possess:

  • Higher education and/or relevant experience, preferably in the transportation sector.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A valid Driver's License.
  • A flexible schedule, with the ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • A commitment to customer service excellence.
  • Integrity in all professional dealings.
  • The ability to use an appliance dolly to move items weighing up to 450 lbs.

Physical Demands:

The physical requirements for this position include walking, bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting multiple times throughout the day.

Work Environment:

This role is characterized by a temperature-controlled office environment and a non-temperature-controlled warehouse setting.
