About the Role:
Northern Nevada Health System is seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our team on a part-time basis. As an OR RN, you will provide direct patient care to infant through geriatric patient populations in the OR arena.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care related to the surgical and Pain Center environment.
- Assist with the maintenance of surgical equipment and pain management inventory.
- Participate in performance improvement activities.
- Assess the operating room/procedure room for equipment functioning and readiness, obtain supplies for individual cases, and ensure all appropriate needs of the surgical operating team are met.
- Demonstrate supportive behaviors necessary for performing bedside report using IMAP & SBAR (both accomplished in partnership with the patient inside the room).
- Take appropriate actions and document in response to manifested anxiety or distress.
Requirements:
- At least one year of Operating Room experience.
