Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and development of structural engineering solutions for projects, including feasibility studies, structural analysis, and design.
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, and other design professionals to ensure that structural engineering solutions meet project requirements and objectives.
  • Develop and implement structural design plans, including structural mechanics options, loading, structural response, and connection design.
  • Verify and support construction by performing compliance inspections and tests, resolving construction problems related to structural design, and coordinating with construction and production contractors.
  • Document structural design and maintenance by recording design features and maintenance requirements, and warnings, detailing safety requirements.
  • Comply with codes and regulations by applying and enforcing adherence to regulations and testing requirements, advising management on needed actions.
  • Maintain engineering design team accomplishments by coordinating actions, obtaining expert input, reviewing open issues and action items, contributing information and structural engineering analysis to team meetings and reports, guiding structural engineering technicians.
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing structural engineering data and trends.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum BS in Civil/Structural Engineering and professional registration required. MS preferred.
  • Experienced with AutoCAD and computer aided analysis/design of structures is required and experience with BIM software a plus.
  • Strong Oral and written communication skills also required.
