Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

As a Diesel Mechanic at Get Spiffy, you will be part of our fleet servicing crew, performing a variety of services on light to medium duty diesel vehicles. Your responsibilities will include preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing vehicles, ensuring compliance, and maintaining open communication with customers and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines and related components
  2. Diagnose and repair various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, electrical, and HVAC
  3. Use diagnostic tools and equipment to analyze vehicle malfunctions and determine appropriate repair methods
  4. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed
  5. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and environmental regulations
  6. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in diesel technology
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic, with a strong understanding of medium to heavy duty vehicle systems and components
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to drive; CDL preferred
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality work
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Working Conditions:

This job will involve occasional exposure to some disagreeable elements such as hot and cold temperatures, loud noises, dust/dirt, and exhaust fumes.
