Job Overview

Dependable Staffing Agency CA is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to provide high-quality radiological services in a dynamic and challenging environment. As a key member of our Corrections Division team, you will be responsible for developing and processing X-ray exposures, complying with exam protocols, and providing emergency medical support when needed.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and process X-ray exposures in accordance with established protocols.
  2. Consult with Radiologists or ordering medical providers for clarification on exam protocols.
  3. Provide emergency medical support in the event of an allergic reaction to radiological contrast or other medical emergencies.
  4. Utilize proper identification markers and technique for exam orders.
  5. Perform and assist medical providers with special procedures, such as routine fluoro, drainage procedures, biopsies, and myelograms.
  6. Process digital images in conjunction with Radiology Information System/Picture Archive Communication System (RIS/PACS).
  7. Ensure patient safety and proper labeling of digital images.
  8. Perform statewide standard radiology protocols and documentation.
  9. Review digital X-ray images for proper positioning and image clarity.
  10. Respond to emergency room and bedside radiographic examinations.
  11. Coordinate maintenance of X-ray machines and ensure they are in safe operating conditions.
  12. Perform radiographic examinations with and without contrast media.
  13. Maintain radiology records within RIS/PACS in accordance with departmental policy.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  1. Twelve continuous months of experience within the last three years performing services similar in scope to those defined herein in a public or private institution.
  2. Possess and maintain current certification in good standing from the State of California, Department of Health Services for Radiological Technology as a Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT).
  3. Ensure each CRT possesses and maintains a current and valid license and other modality coverage licenses as applicable to do business in the State of California.
  4. Temporary/Relief Radiologic Technologists must be proficient in the English language and able to communicate effectively with the Department of Corrections.
