Job Title: Biller/Collector Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Biller/Collector Specialist to join our team at Willow Springs Center. As a key member of our Business Office, you will be responsible for effectively collecting payments and resolving outstanding account balances from patients and third-party payers.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a professional and organized approach to collection and follow-up functions to achieve the hospital's cash collection and accounts receivable management objectives.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of industry standards and payer requirements, including hospital-based services and claims billing processes.
  • Ensure cash collections are maximized while maintaining outstanding accounts receivable at or below defined targets.
  • Assist in the transmittal of billings to third-party payors, either manually or electronically.

Requirements:

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • A minimum of two (2) years' experience in a healthcare collections or related field, or any combination of education, training, or experience in a healthcare business office environment.
  • Experience with insurance verification, patient financial counseling, understanding of insurance EOBs and remittances, to include PLBs. Experience with claims and patient cash posting to accounts.
  • Experience with payer websites and MS4.

Additional Requirements:

May be required to work flexible hours and occasional overtime.
