Job Summary

The Assistant Manager plays a vital role in the success of our store operations, working closely with the Store Manager to ensure seamless day-to-day operations and compliance with company policies and procedures. This role requires strong leadership, guidance, and training skills to motivate and develop the store staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of employees and customers.
  • Create an exceptional customer shopping experience by maintaining and reinforcing current service level standards, providing service training and leadership to staff members, and managing customer issues with a sense of urgency.
  • Manage all POS terminal transactions, including sales, discounts, refunds, loyalty, and open/closing procedures.
  • Oversee inventory control, adhering to policies and procedures for shipping and receiving, price management, singles, damaged merchandise, and conducting physical inventory.
  • Lead sales floor merchandising and visual presentation efforts, ensuring adherence to company standards for merchandise placement, sales floor maintenance, and promotional event directions.
  • Manage payroll control, including scheduling, payroll budget compliance, time and attendance, and training and development of direct reports.
  • Contribute to loss prevention efforts, adhering to policies and procedures for the protection and control of company assets.

Working Relationships

This role requires strong relationships with customers, sales associates, store management, district/regional managers, store operations, and training personnel.
