We are currently seeking a Multi-Unit Financial Controller to oversee financial operations for a significant healthcare institution. This role is crucial for managing the financial aspects of multiple service accounts within a large healthcare environment.
The Multi-Unit Financial Controller will play a key role in both the client and Sodexo budgets. This position requires close collaboration with Unit Operations Managers to ensure financial integrity across our expanding portfolio. Responsibilities include providing financial support for weekly projections, participating in budget reviews, updating forecasts, managing period closes, and generating ad hoc reports. This role will supervise a team of five direct reports.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in food service management, showcasing a strong customer focus and the ability to enhance retail operations. Experience in high-volume retail settings is advantageous.
Typical Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
Note: Schedule may vary based on operational needs.
Key Responsibilities of the Multi-Unit Financial Controller include:
- Serving as the primary contact for financial projections and inquiries.
- Ensuring compliance with Sodexo standards for accounts receivable, accounts payable, and budgeting.
- Preparing and analyzing weekly financial reports for the healthcare system.
- Reviewing financial reports for all units in preparation for district meetings.
- Supporting managers during weekend financial reviews, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring accurate reporting.
- Providing guidance to Managers, Chefs, and Operations Managers regarding financial performance.
- Collaborating with the District Manager to consolidate weekly financial variances and support understanding of these variances.
- Analyzing month-end reports for all operations within the district and providing variance explanations and corrective action plans as necessary.
- Ensuring timely completion of weekly reports, including measures, forecasts, and labor analyses.
- Conducting training for general managers and unit administrators on financial systems.
- Onboarding new general managers and unit administrators to Sodexo financial processes.
- Meeting with general managers to discuss cost reduction strategies and labor optimization.
- Holding teams accountable for utilizing Sodexo-specific tools for effective business management.
- Conducting regular audits of inventory and cash handling practices.
- Performing ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required.
- Supporting additional projects as directed by the district manager.

Basic Education Requirement: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Functional Experience: 3 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related field
