About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled ICU Registered Nurse to join our team at Ochsner Extended Care Hospital, a part of LHC Group. This is a unique opportunity to work in a low nurse-to-patient ratio ICU unit on an LTAC floor, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a culture of caring, belonging, and trust.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized patient plans of care, prioritizing physical, psychosocial, and spiritual health.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting self-care and independence.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, adhering to regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
Requirements
  • Current RN license in the state of Louisiana.
  • ICU experience, with a strong background in critical care nursing.
  • CPR certification and ACLS certification.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and responsibilities.
