Job Summary

Herc Rentals is seeking a skilled Tractor Trailer Driver to transport, deliver, and retrieve assorted construction and heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to professionalism, customer service, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport and deliver construction and heavy equipment to various locations
  • Operate commercial and non-commercial vehicles in a safe and efficient manner
  • Promote a professional and excellent customer service attitude
  • Perform vehicle inspections and maintain accurate records
  • Ensure all delivery documents are properly maintained and available for inspection
  • Apply knowledge of driving and commercial driving skills in various locations and conditions
  • Secure construction equipment and other equipment according to established procedures
  • Maintain open communication with Branch Manager and central dispatch
  • Observe safety rules and regulations at customer job sites and facilities
  • Provide training assistance to customers on safe vehicle operations
  • Report any damage to Herc Rentals property or accidents involving the driver or equipment
  • Maintain flexibility in daily routine to respond to customer demands
  • Ensure proper paperwork and logs are maintained accurately
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of tractor trailer driving experience within the last three years
  • Commercial Driver's License, Class A, with tanker endorsement
  • Current medical card
  • Hazmat endorsement must be obtained within 120 days of employment
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to operate large, heavy machinery
  • Ability to secure loads safely
  • Customer service skills
