Position: Charge Nurse - Acute Care Orthopedic Unit

Our 3 West unit is a 33-bed facility specializing in Orthopedic Trauma and Medical Surgical care. We are dedicated to delivering high-quality medical services in a fast-paced setting, catering to both young adults and older patients.
The 3 West team is a collaborative group committed to providing outstanding care to our patients. We take pride in our ability to deliver specialized services for individuals undergoing planned joint replacements, orthopedic trauma, and those admitted for various medical conditions.
Our unit promotes a vibrant learning atmosphere, offering a comprehensive orientation program for new staff that emphasizes interdisciplinary teamwork. We ensure that all new team members are well-prepared to deliver compassionate, service-oriented care to our diverse patient population.
At 3 West, we embody the principle of "Service Is Our Passion," fostering a family-like environment where everyone feels valued and welcomed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, implement or delegate care, plan, and evaluate nursing services in alignment with established philosophies.
- Provide and oversee patient care for a designated group of individuals.
- Maintain effective communication with other shifts and departments to ensure seamless continuity of care.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Possession of a valid Texas RN License or eligibility for a Compact License.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
- Med-Surg certification is encouraged.
