Key Responsibilities- Patient Advocacy: Greet new and existing patients, register new patients, and provide information about what to expect during their visit.
- Scheduling: Schedule patient appointments in person or over the phone, ensuring that patients are seen in a timely manner.
- Communication: Regularly communicate with various parties, including attorney offices, insurance companies, translation companies, and business development teams.
- Financial Management: Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.
- Customer Service: Provide patients with pertinent information about their next appointment as they check out, and respond to requests for information from patients, providers, and coworkers.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: 1 year of medical office experience and 1 year of front desk experience required.
- Skills: Insurance verification experience, scheduling experience, and customer service experience preferred.
- Physical Ability: Ability to walk, stand, bend, and reach consistently throughout a work day/shift.
- Manual Dexterity: Ability to type (including 10-key) throughout a work day/shift.
- Lifting: Ability to lift up to 25lbs, safely, from ground to waist using proper body mechanics.
- Visual Acuity: Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to maintain accurate records, recognize people, and understand written direction.
- Communication: Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions.
