Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and complex ultrasound exams to detect abnormalities in the female reproductive system, 1st trimester pregnancies, and high-risk pregnancies.
  • Utilize high-frequency sound waves and color Doppler Ultrasound to capture images of abnormalities and assist in accurate diagnostic interpretation.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of ultrasound equipment, structured reporting, and image management to ensure accurate diagnoses and optimal patient care.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and support to patients with gynecological medical conditions and early pregnancy-related complications.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in diagnostic medical sonography and adhere to regulatory and professional standards to ensure compliance and quality assurance.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from a CAAHEP-accredited program.
  • 3 years of recent OBGYN experience with extensive experience in transvaginal gynecological sonography or perinatal sonography.
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) credential with an OB/GYN specialty through ARDMS.
  • American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM) membership is required and must be maintained for compliance with AIUM accreditation.
