Medical Laboratory Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team at Regional Cancer Care Associates. As a Medical Laboratory Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results.
Key Responsibilities- Perform specimen analysis, instrument maintenance, and quality control procedures, including moderate and high complexity laboratory tests.
- Initiate and follow quality assurance and safety policies and procedures.
- Collect and process patient specimens, and assist with patient flow as needed.
- Perform clinical tests used in the treatment and diagnosis of diseases.
- Demonstrate clinical thinking and technical skills to assess the appropriateness of results and the need for retesting or equipment recalibration.
- Basic medical laboratory skills required.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
- Ability to perform diversified duties within specified time limitations required.
- Ability to organize, problem solve, set priorities, and use critical thinking skills required.
- Strong customer service skills required.
- Ability to be a team player required.
- Two years previous laboratory experience required.
- Experience with Laboratory Computer Information System preferred.
- Knowledge of QA principles preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree of Science in a related field of Science required.
- Heart Saver or Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
- SCP certified preferred.
