We are seeking a skilled Assembly Operator to join our team at TriMas Corporation. As an Assembly Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating various assembly machines to produce precision aircraft quality blind fasteners.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Read and interpret documents, such as blueprints, drawings, or manufacturing work orders, to determine the necessary tools and materials for producing products to precision tolerance.
  • Set up and operate assigned assembly machines and their related products, making adjustments as needed to assemble parts to specifications.
  • Select, mount, and align tooling attachments and materials in proper order and relationship.
  • Monitor production runs using measuring devices, such as comparators, micrometers, calipers, and various other inspect gauges.
  • Conduct performance tests on assembled products to ensure they meet customer and/or company specification requirements.
  • Rework and direct reworking of tooling as needed.
  • Keep accurate statistical process control records, making adjustments during production runs as SPC data directs.
  • Meet and maintain all productivity levels and quality requirements to support departmental goals and schedules.
  • Perform minor preventative maintenance on assigned machines.
  • Perform record keeping, data entry, housekeeping, and follow safety regulations.

Requirements:


  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as blueprints and drawings.
  • Knowledge of assembly machines and their operation.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Compensation:


The pay scale for this position ranges from $18.00-$29.86 hourly.
