About the Role

Celestica is seeking a seasoned Automation Engineer to join our Global Automation team. As a key member of our team, you will identify assembly optimization opportunities and conceptualize conversion of manual processes to optimized automated solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze manufacturing processes to determine the need for automation
  • Develop and implement automation solutions that meet Celestica's universal and site-specific automation goals
  • Provide technical guidance in the definition of flexible and scalable automation solutions
  • Interface with customers and internal and external design teams to provide site-specific automation needs
  • Support continuous improvement of existing automation systems
  • Support customer automation needs at NPI and Product transfer
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of automation experience in manufacturing industry, preferably in assembly processes
  • Minimum 5 years project management experience in manufacturing industry using tools such as MS Project and/or Smartsheet
  • Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • PMP project management certification preferred
