Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Obstetrics Registered Nurse to join our team at Reeves County Hospital. As an Obstetrics Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to expectant mothers and their newborns, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer skilled nursing care to clients of all ages in their place of residence, coordinating care with the interdisciplinary team, patient/family, and referring agency.
  • Assume responsibility for coordination of care, ensuring seamless transitions and effective communication.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patient needs, preferences, and goals.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health literacy and self-advocacy.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care, including medication management and treatment plans.
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
Requirements
  • Licensure: Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse, current State Driver's License.
  • Experience: Two years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a clinical care setting, preferably in hospice or home health.
  • Skills: Nursing skills as defined by generally accepted standards of practice, excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Transportation: Reliable transportation, valid and current auto liability insurance.
Working Conditions

Works in patients' homes in various conditions, with possible exposure to blood and body fluids and infectious diseases. Ability to work flexible schedules, travel locally, and some exposure to unpleasant weather.

Physical and Mental Requirements

Prolonged sitting and walking required, with ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and move patients. Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and patient needs, making quick decisions, and resource acquisition.
