Job Title: Staff Nurse II, Intensive Care Unit

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Nurse II to join our Intensive Care Unit team at Sutter Health. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and making informed decisions to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess, coordinate, and deliver nursing care to patients in the ICU, including direct patient care, patient education, and transitions of care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that incorporate psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors.
  • Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers through effective communication.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, industry standards, best practices, and applicable laws and regulations to promote an optimal patient experience.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Minimum two years of current experience in the ICU or a related specialty.
  • Registered Nurse - State Licensure - RN.
  • Basic Life Support Certification - BLS.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support - ACLS.
  • Critical Care Registered Nurse - CCRN within 18 months of hire.
Skills and Knowledge:
  • Demonstrated general knowledge and competence with regard to nursing theories, concepts, and practices.
  • Working knowledge of the healthcare industry, safety precaution policies, best practices regarding patient care and privacy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences.
  • Time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize patient care, assignments, and work within standardized policies, procedures, and practices.

Sutter Health is an equal opportunity employer. The salary range for this role is $73.66 to $99.67 per hour. Compensation takes into account several factors, including a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure, and certifications. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
