Transportation Planner

Bowman Consulting Group, Ltd. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Transportation Planner I to join our team in Pennsylvania. As a key member of our transportation planning team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing transportation plans that improve the quality of life for our communities.

• Assist in the planning and development of transportation projects, including Complete Streets design, Vision Zero initiatives, and transportation demand management strategies.
• Conduct research and analysis to identify transportation trends and best practices, and develop recommendations for improvement.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and other materials to support transportation planning efforts.
• Assist in the development of grant applications and proposals to secure funding for transportation projects.

• Bachelor's degree in urban planning, landscape architecture, or a related field.
• Entry-level position; previous professional experience a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ArcGIS.
• Valid state driver's license and ability to successfully pass a motor vehicle check.

The Transportation Planner I will work in a fast-paced office environment with occasional outdoor work required. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
