Steelwork Fabricator

As a Production Helper, you will play a vital role in assisting workers engaged in the fabrication of structural metal products. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in steelwork fabrication and work with a variety of equipment, including overhead cranes, forklifts, and hand grinders.

Our ideal candidate will be highly proficient in using equipment, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and have a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities:

• Lifting, positioning, and removing workpieces from machines
• Loading, stacking, and transporting stock, tools, dies, and work-in-process
• Cleaning and scraping metal preparatory to fabricating, welding, painting, or shipping

Requirements:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), and/or 12 months experience
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Mathematical skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
