Sign Language Interpreter Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to provide accurate and effective interpretation services for students in various educational settings. As a Sign Language Interpreter, you will work closely with teachers, staff, and families to ensure clear communication and understanding of educational content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide interpretation services in classrooms, meetings, and events.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure clear communication and understanding of educational content.
  • Assist in creating an inclusive atmosphere that promotes student engagement and participation.
  • Foster understanding of Deaf culture among staff and students, promoting respect and inclusion.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions and settings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Deaf Studies, Sign Language Interpreting, or a related field.
  • Current certification from a recognized interpreting organization.
  • Previous experience working as a sign language interpreter, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, families, and staff.
  • A compassionate, student-centered mindset focused on promoting communication and inclusion.
