MCI Careers is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join our team. As a Paralegal, you will be responsible for conducting legal research, drafting documents, organizing and maintaining files, and assisting in the preparation of cases for trial.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct Legal Research: Gather relevant information from various resources, including statutes, case law, legal articles, and regulations.
- Draft Legal Documents: Create contracts, pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and briefs, and assist in preparing documents for court filings.
- Organize and Maintain Case Files: Manage deadlines, keep track of ongoing legal proceedings, and ensure all necessary documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Communicate with Clients: Obtain information, provide updates on case status, and assist with answering routine questions.
- Assist Attorneys: Prepare for court appearances and trials, including organizing exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders.
- Perform Administrative Duties: Schedule meetings, maintain calendars, and manage correspondence.
This job operates in a professional office environment. The employee will be largely sedentary and will be required to sit/stand for long periods while using a computer and telephone headset.
Conditions of Employment:- Must be authorized to work in the country where the job is based.
- Must be willing to submit up to a LEVEL II background and/or security investigation with a fingerprint.
- Must be willing to submit to drug screening.
