Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouseman to join our team at Golden State Foods. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for accurately picking, lifting, and placing product into pallets to build customer orders in various temperature environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under the direction of the warehouse supervisor, continuously picks, lifts, and places product into a pallet to accurately build customer orders.
  • Visually inspects incoming and outgoing warehouse products to determine acceptability for shipment and/or receiving of product.
  • Reads labels and associated documents, counts, and calculates quantity of product to verify accuracy of shipment.
  • Operates a forklift or pallet jack in an accident-free manner.
  • Cleans work area and completes any other functions assigned.
Requirements
  • Licensed fork lift operator with a minimum of six months of safe operation of material handling equipment.
  • Able to perform accurate visual inspections and repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Possess reading and basic math skills.
  • Physically capable of standing, walking, and twisting while carrying 50-pound objects.
  • HS Diploma or equivalent required.
Work Environment

This is a physical position that requires the ability to work in all three areas (Dry, Freezer, and Cooler) and use Electric Pallet Jacks, Stand-up Fork/Reach Trucks. The work environment is fast-paced and requires attention to detail and ability to work in a team.
