  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is essential. Advanced qualifications such as CPA, MBA, or a Post-baccalaureate degree/certificate are highly regarded.
  • At least two years of relevant experience in accounting or auditing within a financial institution or accounting firm is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of SEC reporting standards and the ability to conduct research on disclosure requirements is necessary.
  • Experience in preparing or reviewing SEC Forms such as 8-K, 10-Q, and 10-K, ensuring compliance with required disclosures, managing feedback from various stakeholders, and meeting tight deadlines is crucial.
  • Capability to investigate, analyze, and resolve issues related to financial reporting.
  • Familiarity with automated accounting systems, from data entry to financial report generation.
  • Proficient in using PC-based software applications, particularly Microsoft Office tools.
  • Experience with Workday financial systems is a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks independently to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy in a self-driven work environment.
  • Skill in organizing, analyzing, and reporting extensive financial data efficiently.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a financial institution or audit firm supporting financial entities.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including functions such as sumif and index/match.
  • Experience with XBRL for SEC filings.
  • Familiarity with Workiva software.
  • Experience with Workday Financials is highly desirable.
