The Houseperson is responsible for maintaining a clean and pleasant environment for guests by ensuring the cleanliness and appearance of guest accommodations and public spaces. This role may involve assisting other departments with various duties based on the hotel's needs.
Duties and Responsibilities- Greet and welcome guests, offering assistance and responding to their needs promptly and courteously.
- Clean corridors, guest areas, lobby, service areas, and linen closets.
- Empty housekeepers' trash and linen bags.
- Carry trash to the dumpster.
- Deliver rollaway beds and cribs to guestrooms.
- Turn mattresses as directed by management.
- Stock supplies needed for linen closets.
- Vacuum public areas and corridors.
- Mop vending machine areas and keep machines clean.
- Check and clean all public restrooms several times daily.
- Check and clean all elevators several times daily.
- Assist with luggage handling.
- Strip beds and/or clean rooms when needed.
- Check lights and change bulbs.
- Maintain outside grounds daily.
- Assist in the unloading and storing of deliveries.
- Complete duties and confirm on shift checklist as assigned.
- Perform various other duties assigned by the Supervisor.

This position requires frequent standing, walking, and bending forward and trunk rotation while standing. It also involves frequent stair climbing, kneeling, and reaching both above and below shoulders. The ability to communicate effectively with guests and coworkers in a positive and professional manner is essential. Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs, as well as frequent pushing and pulling up to 100 lbs, are also required. The ability to squat, ladder climb, and crawl is necessary for this role.

This position will be a full-time position with hours 7-8 am to 3-4 pm and will require weekends. The employee will also be cross-trained in the breakfast hostperson area to help for a few hours each weekend day.
