We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Restaurant Host/Cashier to join our team at Choctaw Resort Development Enterprise. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service and ensuring a memorable dining experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities- Guest Reception and Seating: Greet guests upon arrival, escort them to their dining table, and ensure a smooth and efficient seating process.
- Phone and Reservation Management: Answer telephones, take reservations, and verify guest information to ensure accurate seating and service.
- Menu Distribution and Explanation: Distribute menus to guests, explain food items, and provide recommendations to enhance their dining experience.
- Guest Complaint Resolution: Address guest complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner, escalating issues to management as needed.
- Health, Safety, and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and safe dining environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines and protocols.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with restaurant staff to ensure seamless service, maintain a positive attitude, and provide daily updates to management.
- Attendance and Punctuality: Maintain a consistent attendance record and arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
- Age and Gaming Requirements: Must be at least 21 years old and able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Choctaw Gaming Commission.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; previous cash handling experience and POS system proficiency a plus.
- Testing and Certification: Must pass the Basic Math Test with an 85% score and complete C.A.R.E. certification before starting work.
- Language Skills: Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English; strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and handle American currency.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense and follow instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with moderate to loud noise levels and potential exposure to tobacco smoke. Associates must be able to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
