We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Engineer/Scientist to join our Siri and Information Intelligence team at Apple. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that aim to make Siri and Apple products smarter for our users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze search ranking and relevance requirements issues and opportunities
  • Utilize PyTorch, TensorFlow, and JAX for training and deploying deep learning models
  • Understand product requirements and translate them into modeling tasks and engineering tasks
  • Build machine-learned models for search relevance ranking, query understanding, and questioning
  • Publish and present research in top NLP conferences like EMNLP and NAACL

Requirements

  • Experience in machine learning and deep learning, with a focus on natural language processing and information retrieval
  • Mastery of one of the following languages: Python, Go, Java, C++
  • Strong coding skills and solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and distributed system design
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Excellent practical skills with and state-of-the-art knowledge of major machine learning algorithms

Education and Experience

  • BS, MS, or Ph.D in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field

Additional Requirements

  • Experience with large-scale search and machine learning systems
  • Excellent data analytics skills

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base pay range: $166,600 - $296,300
