Geotechnical Engineer

**Job Summary:**

A top engineering firm, GPAC, is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geotechnical engineering, with experience in data reduction, organization, and project management. The successful candidate will work closely with project management teams to monitor progress and implementation of initiatives.

**Responsibilities:**

* Prepare data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents relevant to a given property's soil profile
* Data reduction and organization to provide recommendations for foundation design
* On-site observation of excavation techniques and soil sampling
* Co-design multiple geotechnical engineering projects, concurrently
* Co-coordinate and execute various projects with geotechnical staff

**Requirements:**

* 5+ years of experience in Geotechnical Engineering
* Bachelors degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering
* PE or EIT certification (or able to obtain PE within the next year)
* Project experience with bridges, roadways, retaining walls, slopes, and embankments, buildings and various methods of ground improvements
* Project Management experience
* Understanding of diverse AASHTO and ASTM Standards, along with practical familiarity with CAD and software for soil logging

**Software Skills:**

* Microsoft Suite, gINT, geotechnical analysis software experience is a plus

**Compensation:**

* $75k-$100k depending on experience
