Job Summary

UC San Diego is seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing routine to complex computerized tomography (CT) procedures for diagnostic purposes in accordance with established guidelines and CT protocols.

The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of radiologic technology and computed tomography, with the ability to act as a CT subject matter expert and assist other technicians as needed. You will also be responsible for preparing and positioning patients for procedures, administering contrast media, and entering complex data into the computer system.

We offer a competitive salary range of $121,355 - $150,816, with a hourly equivalent of $72.23. If you are a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for diagnostic imaging, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine to complex CT procedures for diagnostic purposes
  • Act as a CT subject matter expert and assist other technicians as needed
  • Prepare and position patients for procedures
  • Administer contrast media
  • Enter complex data into the computer system

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a school of radiologic technology
  • California Radiology Technologist of Radiography (CRT-R)
  • Registered Technologist for Computed Tomography issued by ARRT (R.T(CT)(ARRT))
  • Venipuncture certification or completion of a venipuncture course
  • BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date

Preferred Qualifications:

  • California Radiology Technologist of Fluoroscopy (CRT-F)
  • Five (5) years of experience
  • Hospital experience
