Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Handler - Receiving to join our team at ITW Permatex. As a Material Handler - Receiving, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of materials and supplies into our manufacturing department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supply and support manufacturing staging areas with needed materials as listed on shop orders.
  • Complete required material issue and returned components transactions on an accurate and timely basis.
  • Maintain inventory locations records, recording all inventory receipts, moves and issues. Responsible for racking and locating inbound receipts.
  • Load and prepare and/or unload shuttle trucks according to departmental and operational policies.
  • Warehouse materials according to described policy and assist in the maintenance of FIFO stock rotation.
  • Perform cycle count activities as specified by departmental procedure and assist in preparing and taking of physical inventories.
  • Responsible for arranging and completing required paperwork for shipments to OSV.
  • Must be able to complete a bill of lading with the correct information.
  • Assist in all housekeeping efforts and keep back pad clean and organized.
  • Promote and follow all lift truck safety guidelines and procedures and be responsible for maintaining certification.

Requirements

  • High School graduate/GED with 2 years of prior shipping experience is required.
  • Must be experienced in driving motorized equipment (High-Lift/Reach Truck Required).
  • Must be able to understand and carry out oral and/or written instructions.
  • Must recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
  • Must possess the ability to count and make simple arithmetic additions, subtractions, multiplications and divisions.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
