Role Overview

The position involves contributing to the production of maps and performing spatial analysis within the extensive portfolio of Oil & Gas operations. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in ArcGIS 10.8.x and ArcPro 3.x to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the creation of interactive web applications using Experience Builder, ArcGIS Enterprise, Server, and Portal environments.
  • Digitally represent complex land descriptions utilizing ArcGIS software in a Spatial Database Engine (SDE) setting, ensuring integration with Land Management systems.
  • Execute queries within the land management framework to manage daily tasks and obligations effectively.
  • Collaborate with various departments in the oil and gas sector to analyze and execute projects with minimal oversight.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Geography, Geographic Information Science, or Computer Science.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in mapping spatial data derived from land survey descriptions, including metes and bounds.
  • At least 3 years of experience in maintaining data within SDE databases.
  • 3 years of experience in the upstream oil and gas sector.
  • 5 years of GIS experience, particularly with ESRI software, with a preference for ArcGIS and ArcPro.
  • Strong understanding of essential GIS principles, including coordinate systems and projections.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of interpreting client requests in non-technical language to determine optimal solutions.
  • Experience with Oracle Databases or Microsoft SQL for spatial data management and query development.
  • In-depth knowledge of ESRI products such as Portal, ArcGIS Server, SDE, and GeoEvent Server.
  • Familiarity with Quorum Land, MyQuorum, and QuorumGIS.
  • Experience managing an enterprise GIS in cloud environments like Azure or AWS.
  • Ability to utilize Model Builder in GIS for process automation and data management.
  • Proficient in developing solutions using ESRI JavaScript API, Experience Builder, Python API, and Arcade.
  • Experience with Alteryx is advantageous.
