Key Responsibilities- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal care, grooming, and hygiene
- Provide food service, housekeeping, and laundry support
- Manage behavior and provide socialization and activities to promote engagement and well-being
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement resident service plans
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Basic reading and writing skills, and ability to speak English in an understandable manner
- Knowledge and experience in working with elderly, with previous dementia experience preferred
- Certification required according to state regulations, and successful completion of required training
The Resident Caregiver must be able to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods, and lift and carry up to 50 pounds, unassisted, on a frequent basis. Full use of hands, arms, and legs is required for washing, bathing, dressing, writing, and cleaning. Good physical and mental health is essential for this role.
