Developmental Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

About the RoleAs a Developmental Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, you will play a critical role in our team's mission to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to children and adolescents with developmental and behavioral disorders. You will work under the direction of the Developmental Evaluation Specialist, Chief of Service, and/or Medical Director to provide return visit evaluations and develop individualized plans of care.
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of children and adolescents with developmental and behavioral disorders, including autism spectrum disorders, intellectual disabilities, learning disorders, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.
- Develop and implement evidence-based plans of care that address the unique needs of each patient and family.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
- Provide education and support to patients and families to promote health and well-being.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Valid New York State license and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse issued by the New York State Department of Education (NYSED).
- Current certificate as a Nurse Practitioner issued by the NYSED.
- Holds, or obtains through facility orientation, a valid and current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Board certification in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics.
- Bilingual Spanish or French Creole language skills.
- EPIC proficiency.
