Job Title: Medical Physicist - Radiation Oncology Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Physicist to join our Radiation Oncology team at Physician Affiliate Group of New York. As a Medical Physicist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of radiation therapy to our patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with department chairmen and physicians to develop and implement radiation therapy treatment plans.
  • Perform annual physics program audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Calibrate and maintain patient management equipment to ensure accurate and safe treatment delivery.
  • Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) and Performance Improvement (PI) programs to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Teach resident physicians radiation therapy physics, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
  • Provide technical input in the design and construction of patient management rooms and installation activities.
  • Ensure the appropriate management of brachytherapy patients and radioactive sources.
  • Serve as a consultant to hospital administration and other departments.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree or PhD in Medical Physics.
  • Certified in Medical Physics - American Board of Radiology.
  • Current NYS License as Medical Physicist - Therapeutic Radiology.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years or more experience in radiation oncology.
