Aquatics Instructor

Weber State University is seeking a highly qualified Aquatics/Safety-Swim Instructor to join our team. As a key member of our aquatics program, you will be responsible for teaching group, private, and semi-private swimming lessons to students, faculty, staff, and community members using the American Red Cross Swimming and Water Safety program materials.

• Teach swimming lessons to students of all ages and skill levels
• Ensure the safety of participants in and around the pool
• Communicate effectively with participants and the Aquatics and Safety Coordinator to schedule and complete lessons
• Meet the requirements of the American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification

• Current American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification
• Current American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer with Basic First Aid
• Excellent interpersonal communication, teamwork, and customer service skills

• American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification
• Previous experience teaching private swim lessons
