Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Transition and Decommissioning Systems Engineer to join our team at BigBear Inc. This individual will be responsible for leading the coordination of efforts related to the development, documentation, and maintenance of technology transitioning and decommissioning within our corporate architecture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather and document legacy functions required in the modern architecture
  • Translate functions into Minimal Viable Products
  • Track transition development, facilitate risk assessments, and document meeting discussions and actions
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or other related discipline, plus at least 15 years of systems engineering experience
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • At least 5 years of Transition and Decommission experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and diplomacy
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of systems engineering principles, methods, and practices
  • Knowledge of corporate architecture, processes, standards, and best practices
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in development/implementation of SE processes and procedures, experience with Transition & Decommission of legacy systems, and experience in producing and interpreting DoDAF artifacts are highly desirable.
