Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our team at HRA. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our facilities, including vehicles, equipment, and buildings.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, equipment, and buildings
• Inspect and maintain cleanliness of facilities, including floors, carpets, and trash removal
• Perform routine maintenance and repair of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems
• Report equipment malfunctions or breakdowns to supervisor
• Ensure that all maintenance items are kept in safe areas to prevent injuries to residents, associates, and visitors
• Subject to recall after hours and to be on-call for weekends and holidays in the event of a maintenance emergency
• Obtain proper authorization prior to entering any apartment
• Report all on-the-job injuries according to company procedure
• Maintain confidentiality and respect for residents' rights to privacy
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements:

• High school education
• Valid Florida driver's license
• Acceptable driving record
• At least 25 years old
• Minimum one-year experience preferred
• Good driving skills in handling vehicles on wet and/or slippery roads
• Ability to load and unload wheelchair-dependent residents in a safe, caring, and courteous manner
• Exceptional knowledge of all aspects of safe driving
