Warehouse Worker

Job Summary:

Frozen Food Express is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Warehouse Worker to join our team. As a key member of our dock operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe movement of goods in and out of our facility.

Responsibilities:

• Unload and load trailers, pallets, and skids with precision and care to avoid damage or breakage.
• Sort and label merchandise accurately and efficiently to ensure timely delivery.
• Perform daily inventory counts and maintain accurate records to ensure compliance with company policies.
• Assist drivers with loading and unloading goods and equipment, and provide exceptional customer service.
• Conduct regular safety inspections of forklifts and other equipment to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to company housekeeping standards.
• Stack merchandise safely and efficiently to prevent damage or loss.
• Submit reports and documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
• Perform basic arithmetic calculations and assist with on-the-job training for new employees.
• Load and secure shipments according to company procedures and regulations.
• Understand and implement safe and efficient freight handling and lifting procedures.
• Regular and reliable attendance is required, with flexibility to work varying shifts and overtime as needed.

Requirements:

• One year of forklift operating experience, with a strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
• Pallet jack experience and proficiency in operating heavy machinery.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
• Freezer/Cooler warehouse environment, with exposure to extreme temperatures and humidity.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.

• Previous warehouse experience in the transportation industry, with a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management.
