Job Description: Lead Data Scientist - Optimization and Analytics

At Resource Informatics Group, we are seeking an experienced Lead Data Scientist to join our Big Data and Advanced Analytics department. As a key member of the Data Analytics team, you will work closely with the Data Engineering team and business functions to develop and implement data-driven solutions to real-world oil and gas midstream problems.

Your responsibilities will include leading optimization projects, identifying and framing optimization opportunities, gathering and transforming data, analyzing data to deliver insights, creating and maintaining models/solutions, and presenting results to stakeholders. To be successful in this role, you should have strong technical skills, including experience with applied statistics/math and optimization techniques, and proficiency in programming languages like Python. Additionally, you should have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. The estimated salary for this role is between $140,000 and $180,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. The location for this position is Houston, Texas.
