Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Microbiologist to join our team at our purpose-built GMP facility in College Station, Texas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in microbiology, quality control, and cGMP regulations, with experience in working with cell and gene therapy products. This role will involve performing routine testing of microbiology test methods and environmental monitoring in clean rooms, as well as participating in various special projects and contributing to the preparation and review of environmental summaries and trend reports.

Responsibilities
- Perform routine assays including endotoxin, sterility, mycoplasma (qPCR), particulate matter, and bioburden on various in-process, finished products, and raw materials
- Perform environmental monitoring plate enumeration
- Perform staining, characterization, and identifications for microorganisms
- Maintain laboratory culture collection and environmental isolates
- Participate in various special projects according to the needs of the department
- Participate in the drafting of procedures, protocols, policies, summary reports, and other documents, as needed

Requirements
- BS/BA or higher in sciences, preferably in Microbiology, Biology, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field
- 3+ years of related GMP experience in biotechnology, microbiology, environmental monitoring, pharmaceutical manufacturing, or laboratory environment
- Strong knowledge of current industry trends with the ability to use the latest technologies
- Ability to interpret cGMPs and apply to non-routine situations
- Must be flexible and able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and assignments
- Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Demonstrated capability in cross-functional team environment, working collaboratively with others in effective ways that attain goals while encouraging teamwork and synergies throughout the organization
