Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team at UnityPoint Health. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Cancer Center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver therapeutic radiation treatments efficiently and effectively according to radiation oncologists' prescription and plan.
  • Conduct CT simulations and immobilize patients for radiation treatments as needed.
  • Administer tattoos for marking of setups and perform QA testing of linear accelerators and CT Simulator daily.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and radiation oncologists to ensure seamless care.
Requirements
  • Current Illinois Emergency Management Agency/Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety (IEMA) license to practice Radiation Therapy.
  • Current American Registry of Radiological Technologists (AART) certification required to practice Radiation Therapy.
  • CPR certification required.
  • High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum Associate's Degree in Radiation Therapy from an AMA-accredited school.
  • One year experience as a Radiation Therapist desired.
